Zachary's
1778 Washington St.
Stoughton, MA 02072
Phone: (781) 297-7510.
Zachary's is a great breakfast and lunch place in Stoughton. They've been around for about 25 years, but moved to a new, bigger location about a year or so ago. It is very popular with the residents and for good reason. The serve great food at very reasonable prices and you aren't going to walk away hungry. I love their (3) eggs benedict and it will keep you full all day. They have quite a variety of menu items to choose from. If you are from Stoughton, there is a good chance you'll meet somebody you know when you're in there.

Bean Town Diner
593 Washington St.
Stoughton, MA 02072.
Phone: (781) 344-6915
The Bean Town Diner is a nice little restaurant serving breakfast and lunches. It has a typical diner type menu with a large variety of items. My daughter really liked the ham and cheese sub. Wait staff were very friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable.

Roxanne's Taqueria
at Cobb's Corner
95 Sharon St.
Stoughton Ma. 02072
(781) 436-8182
This place advertises themselves as serving Mexican street food. I've been in here several times and have gotten a number of different tacos (soft torillas) and they have been delicious. I need to branch out and try some of the other food, but I really love the tacos. These guys have been at the Taste of Stoughton the last two years and I appreciate their support of that event. It's a really small restaurant with just a few tables. I highly recommend this place.

Jake's Wayback Burgers
386 Washington Street
Stoughton Ma. 02072
(781) 344-7700
Jake's is like an old fashion burger joint selling really good burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and shakes and more. I've eaten here several times and it is one of my kids favorite places to go to with friends. The food is really fresh and is made to order. You can get a bunch of different toppings on your burgers and their fries are great too. I have to admit that the Triple Triple Burger is down right scary. Nine all beef patties, nine slices of cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. I actually saw a guy order one of these, but I didn't stay around to see if he finished it!

Daddy's Dairy
354 Washington St.
Stoughton Ma. 02072
781-297-5200
This place serves both hard and soft ice cream and frozen yogurt. They have 170 flavors of soft serve and they claim another 70 varieties of hard ice cream. My kids love it. We've been several times and they've been several more times. The have a sister store in Randolph.

Crescent Ridge Dairy
355 Bay Road
Sharon, MA 02067-1399
(781) 784-5892
Okay technically this place isn't in Stoughton, it's next door in Sharon. They have the best hard ice cream anywhere close to Stoughton. Black Bear (raspberry ice cream with chocolate chips and chocolate covered raspberry truffles) is my personal favorite. This is the place you take company from out of town. They do a huge business during the summer. There is no place to sit in the small store, but most people get their ice cream at one of the service windows. There are picnic tables you can sit at outside and watch the cows as you eat your ice cream. They also run a full service dairy that delivers milk, dairy, and grocery items to local towns. We've been getting our milk delivered by them since we lived in Milton.

Foley's Back Street Grille
531 Pearl St.
Stoughton Ma. 02072
781-297-0100
This place is tucked away on a side street. I was living here several years before I found it. I've only been once, but I thought the food was good and the waitstaff were friendly. I had a pretty good shrimp meal. They have an eclectic American menu. Prices were reasonable. Definitely worth another visit, but I forget it's there. They do advertise a lot in the Penny Saver.

Maxie's Deli
117 Sharon Street
Stoughton, MA
Phone: 781-341-1662
Fax.781-341-2883
Haven't eaten there yet, but it seems to do a pretty good business. I need to check this place out. Menu looks like pretty standard deli fare.

Best Mexican Restaurant
La Paloma's

195 Newport Ave.
Quincy, MA 02170
Phone: (617) 773-0512
Fax: (617) 376-8867
Sorry there are no Mexican Restaurants in Stoughton. You have to go to La Paloma's in Quincy. Excellent Mexican food. Have tolerated kids pretty well. Slim menu for picky eaters. Never had a bad meal there. Even better Margaurita's. These guys know how to make them.

Chicken Kabob Restaurant
756 Washington Street
Stoughton, MA 02072
Phone: (781) 313-3550
This restaurant serves Turkish food. I haven't been here to eat yet, but I'll definitely give it a try. A number of places have tried to make it at this location. I wish them success!

Stoneforge Grill
10 Roosevelt Circle
South Easton, MA 02375
Phone: (508)238-0550
Fax: (508)238-0544
Someone asked for a review of this place in Easton. I've been there a couple of times. It's across the street from Stone Hill College. I liked the atmosphere, very modern. Good choice of beers. I only had appetizers the first time, but a full meal the second time. Everything was very tasty. The entrees looked a little pricey. It has an ecletic menu ranging from $17 to $29 and up. Not a place for kids.

Frank's
265 North Pearl Street
Brockton, MA 02301-1799
(508) 588-9604
Frank's is in Brockton, but right on the edge of Stoughton. This place is sort of like an old diner without the stainless steel walls. I had a hot dog with sauer kraut here that was really good. They have a variety of offerings - hamburgers, chicken, seafood, etc. The guys behind the counter were kind of surly. Don't go looking for great customer service - just good food at reasonable prices.

Not You Average Joe's
16 Mazzeo Drive
Randolph, MA 02368
Phone: (781) 961-7200
Just your average Joe's. A long wait for a mediocre meal. Too many flavors in one meal. Too noisy, not a good place for kids.

Rick's Cafe
63 Mazzeo Dr.
Randolph, MA 02368
Phone: (781) 961-3339
I had a truly awful experience here. We waited forever to get served. The meal I got was mediocre (I can't even remember what it was). The "pizza" they served my son was just plain bad. I haven't been back.

Peppercorn's at the Old Colony YMCA
445 Central Street
Stoughton, MA 02072
ph: 781-341-0006
fax: 781-341-0014
This place used to be on Pearl Street, but seems to have moved to the YMCA. Haven't tried it yet, but the food at the Y looks pretty good. They also do catering.

The Last Shot Sports Bar & Grill
559 Washington Street
Stoughton, MA 02072
(781) 344-8900.
I imagine it's pub fare. Haven't been yet.

Page's and Page's II
Page's
458 Pearl Street
Stoughton, MA 02072
781-344-3303

Page's II
506 Page St
Stoughton, MA 02072
781-344-1829

These are a couple of convenience stores that also sell sandwiches and hot food. I've been in Page's II, but haven't gotten any food. Page's on Pearl Street also has a Honey Dew Donuts inside.

Ronnie's Diner
832 Washington St.
Stoughton, MA, 02072
(781) 341-0009
Ronnie's is a tiny little place just south of the Stoughton downtown. I have no idea what they serve or if it is any good. It look's more like a bar that serves food. It is not appealing from the outside.

Panera Bread
Park Street (#3553)
1334 Park Street
Stoughton, MA 02072
(781) 297-0975
Good food, very good bread, decent coffee.

D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches
Two locations
2137 Central Street
Stoughton, MA 02072
Phone: (781) 341-1021
and
1261 Park St
Stoughton, MA 02072
Phone: (781) 297-3507
I don't even know where this is. I'm assuming it's like all of the other D'Angelos. You can get a pretty good sub or wrap in these places. Get on their e-mail list and save some cash. My question to everyone is where can you get an authentic New Jersey style sub? Ifound the answer to this question about six months ago -- Jersey Mike's in Raynham. I'll add a review in the near future.

Subway
354 Washington Street
Stoughton, MA 02072
Phone: (781) 341-1607
Generic Sub Shop, but you do have to give them credit for the Five Dollar subs.

TGI Friday's
2 Hawes Way
Stoughton, MA 02072
Phone: (781) 341-1712
If you've been to any TGI Friday's you know what to expect. Decent bar food, good variety, decent drinks. Have been there a couple of times. Once was very good, once was a little skimpy on the portion size.

Smokey Bones Barbeque & Grill
301 Technology Center Drive
Stoughton, MA 02072
Phone: (781) 297-5225
Have been there once. Reasonable prices, heavy on the meat. Looked like a good place to bring kids.
